There are two events on the calendar today, May 13, as part of Iran Accountability Week, co-sponsored by the Honourable Irwin Cotler, MP, James Bezan, MP, and Paul Dewar, MP.

 

HAPPENING NOW:

 

A discussion on the Iranian regime’s massive domestic repression of the human rights of the Iranian people

Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 9:00 am, Parliamentary Restaurant, New Zealand Room

with:

  • Mark Dubowitz : Executive Director of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and an expert on sanctions. He has testified before Congress and advised the U.S. administration, Congress, and numerous foreign governments on Iranian sanction issues.
  • Mr. Ali Alfoneh: Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, and a top expert on Iran and the inner workings of its regime.
  • Susan Tamas: Director of Governmental Relations for the Baha’i Community of Canada.
  • Marina Nemat: Author and survivor of the notorious Even Prison in Tehran; her memoir, The Prisoner of Tehran was a finalist on CBC Canada Reads 2012.
